Chronic Depression

This was a poem I made last April of 2004 which I posted first on http://www.poemranker.com. The title came from a classmate in my Math class which complained of having chronic depression because of college. The words kind of stuck to me, so I made a poem out of it. If you want to score my poem just copy the link and paste it to a the address bar.

Chronic Depression

allow the words to flow
those in bottomless sorrow
those in loneliness deep
open your eyes from sleep

wallowing in bitterness
swimming in despair
waiting for happiness
flying around somewhere

but the morrow awaits us
sleep therefore we must
but night’ll come again
cycle repeats, til we end
